What is Kryptos?

A local-first, end-to-end-encrypted vault for your photos, videos, and notes. Your data is stored encrypted on your device.

Is my data private?

Yes. Kryptos has no accounts, analytics, or tracking, and the developer operates no servers. Your encryption keys are derived from your passphrase and never leave your device.

How does sync work?

Sync is optional and off by default. If you enable it, you pair the app with a server you run yourself, and only end-to-end-encrypted ciphertext is sent — the server never sees your content or keys.
